About. GALA Yuzawa Snow Resort is located in Yuzawa town, Niigata. GALA is the only ski resort in the world with our own Shinkansen (bullet train) station, which easily access from Tokyo only around 80 min. by direct shinkansen from Tokyo station or Ueno station. Our ski resort is well known for snow powder which skiers & snowboarders loved.Jigokudani Monkey Park, Nagano Prefecture. Recommended Route from Tokyo: Take the Hokuriku-Shinkansen from either the Tokyo, Ueno or Omiya Stations to Nagano Station (1 hr 23 min, ¥8,340). From Nagano take the Express Bus to Jigokudani Monkey Park (¥1,500, 47 min). The sight of monkeys soaking in snow-surrounded hot springs is one of Japan Akakura Kanko/Akakura Onsen. Akakura Kanko is one of the oldest resorts in Japan, having opened in 1937. “Akakan” has one gondola and six quads and offers plenty of variety. The maximum elevation is 1500m and the longest run is 4.5km. You’ll find terrain for everyone with 40% beginner, 30% intermediate and 30% advanced.
